FREE Battery Beach Burnout!
The Florida EAA, Vectrix and AC Propulsion, present the 3rd Annual Battery Beach Burnout - an Alternate Fuel/EV competition at the Countyline Dragway in Miami, FL. This FREE event includes a drag race (Friday 7pm-1am) and Auto-Cross, Scooter-Cross and Show ‘n Shine events (Saturday from 9am to 4pm). Visitors can ride in several of the cars on display and vote for their favorite car in the Show ‘n Shine competition.

EVADC exhibition at National Sustainable Design Expo
On the National Mall between 3rd and 4th streets in Washington D.C.
EVADC will be participating in the EPA’s 4th National Sustainable Design Expo and EPA's People, Planet, Prosperity (P3) - A student design competition for sustainability. This FREE event will be on the Capitol Mall in Washington, DC. Saturday May 31 is the EV AutoCross event set up by the Sports Car Club of America. A Show-n-Shine event will be held as well. Trophies and Prizes will be awarded for the winners and there will also be a raffle.
Sunday June 1 is the Drag Racing EVent to be held at Mason-Dixon Dragway not far from the Community College.
We will have competitors from across the East Coast and vistors from across the nation coming out to race. Many of the racers who came out in previous years will be with us again in 2008.

Electric Car Rally - presented by the Silicon Valley Chapter of the EAA

Come see and ride in electric cars owned and driven daily by people in the Bay Area. Free admission, free rides!
There are four main areas of Rally activity.

  • Electric Vehicles on display
  • Test driving Electric Vehicles including electric bikes and scooters (please read the safety rules)
  • A vendor area with a selection of green companies and EV dealers
  • The rally for distance which allows registered members to compete for prizes and offer visitors rides in a variety of electric vehicles. Registered display vehicles are also eligible for prizes

Free EV Conversion Workshop with Mike Brown, author of "Convert It!"
HP Auditorium (Bldg. 20 A) 3000 Hanover Street, Palo Alto, CA 94034
This free all-day lecture teaches you how to convert a gasoline or diesel vehicle to run completely on electricity. Learn how to select the proper donor vehicle and as well conversion dos and don'ts. Taught by veteran EV conversion experts Mike Brown and Shari Prange. They have also put together kits to make the whole process much easier and there are books and videos available with additional details.
