Saturday, August 10, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Come and check out some plug-in Electric Vehicles.  If you have an
EV, bring it by.  We have free charging available.

Currently being converted is a 1991 VW Double Cab Transporter.
These were never imported to North America, but were produced for
the Asian and European markets.  One of only 18 known to exist in
North America and one of only 5 or 6 in the United States.
This conversion features an AC induction motor capable of 180 ft-lbs.
of torque which is more than the original 2.1 litre fuel injected gas engine
produced.

Also on site is B.O.B. an electric 1974 VW Beetle which is completely custom inside and out.  Plus, don’t miss Karmann, just back from the Laguna Seca Race Track.  Karmann is a
1974 VW Karmann Ghia with one of the most photographed engine compartments.
Come and see why.

Afterwards we plan on a late lunch overlooking Lake Shasta.

EV4U is located at 3400 Shasta Gateway Drive, Shasta Lake, California
From Interstate 5 take the Pine Grove Exit and head west (1.7 miles)
Turn left on to Ashby Road, then left on to Shasta Gateway Drive.
EV4U is the first driveway on the right.

Hope to see you this Saturday. Richard van Wyhe
